Roof Coating

Polyurea coatings make an excellent protective covering for polyurethane foam roofs. Polyurea can be formulated to meet specific performance requirements due the wide range of physical properties that can be formulated. Some systems have the “Cool Roof” ENERGY STAR® rating for color and reflectivity. These reflective coatings can help reduce the amount energy consumption buildings use for heating and cooling. The fast cure time and insensitivity to moisture allows for a quicker installation with a wider application window. Proper surface preparation and substrate condition is always necessary.

  • Decorative & Customizable – Our product can be applied clear over an already-stained concrete floor, or can be enhanced with a new color or decorative accent of your choosing. Decorative chips come in various sizes, colors, and styles. You can create simple one-color schemes, customize multi colored designs or even include a graphic inlay of your company’s logo.
  • Polyurea has become increasingly popular for many applications formerly dominated by epoxy, acrylic and polyurethane. Specifically, it is the aliphatic (an open-chain organic compound) polyurea compounds that increasingly find themselves as the coating of choice due to their excellent mechanical properties (up to 3000-psi tensile strength and 250- to 500-psi burst strength); low-temp flexibility (even down to –40 C); UV stability (color durability superior to polyurethanes); and low volatility (due to 100 percent solids formation).
  • Capable of smoothly adhering to substrates like cement, brick and fiberglass, polyureas are now used for scores of building applications such as encapsulating asbestos ceilings or coating floors. Unlike polyurethanes, polyureas cure under conditions of high moisture and humidity, as long as the correct surface preparation is undertaken.
