Polyureas are great for extending the life of older tanks and can offer limited structural characteristics as well. These systems can be applied during primary construction or in a retrofit environment. With their fast cure times they are ideal for retrofit since down time is significantly minimized compared to some competing materials. VersaFlex FSS 45 DC-F is used by itself or in combination with other materials to produce coatings, liners, wearing courses, and resilient surfaces on metal and other substrates.
Its extremely fast gel time makes it suitable for applications down to -40°F, without special conditioning of the component resins and isocyanates. FSS 45 DC-F produces an extremely tough film at all thicknesses. Single or multiple pass applications produce films from 10 mils to 1,000 mils without appreciable sag or runs. FSS 45 DC-Fmay be applied in all positions and to any properly prepared substrate. FSS 45 DC-F is inert, it will not hydrolyze, leach, or contaminate other materials, and is bondable and paintable. FSS 45 DC-F is relatively moisture and temperature insensitive, allowing application in the most problematic ambient conditions.
